The topics in my work are predominantly body and movement in space and time as well as more subconscious events and observations. The senses are set over the spoken word.
The working methods usually take place between the fields lived and interpreted it.
The first phase is spontaneous ideas that are being tested. Along the way in this process, I consult widely literature, art exhibitions and the web.
In phase two follows reflections and sorts of ideas. As a rule, I regularly work with tests of materials, processes and appearance.
In the third phase evaluated ideas are made, after which I make the actual choice.
The implementation of the process from idea to transformation results in graphics, photo, video and textiles.
In my graphic and photographic works, I work serially, usually in a monochrome color range, where the light, shadows and darkness together with sharpheads and blurreds can add to both certainty and uncertainty. Changing focus on fullness, detail and macro perspective, as well as the choice of focus on secondary elements may open for both wonder and aha.
In my video works, time is the most important factor, including the light as an active player. The videos are made as time-lapses over installations, for example. as comments on events in nature paraphrased for art historical / cultural events / works.
In my knitted works, time is also an important factor. The slowness of the process combined with the actual fabricality is an important background for describing more subconscious topics.
